Cadet Colleges in Bangladesh
In our very

in Pakistan". In-case we missed your college please do comment the name of your
college in the comments section, we will try our very best to be up to date. Now in this article of our blog we will discuss the Cadet Colleges of Bangladesh.
Cadet Colleges
were first introduced in Germany during the era of Bismarck. Napoleon Bonaparte
then introduced cadet colleges in France. Military and Royal aristocrats would
send their offspring’s or wards to those cadet colleges for military education
and a career in the Royal Army. After the partition in 1947, the new state of
Pakistan, consisting of East and West Pakistan was headed by Field Marshal Ayub
Khan.
The first cadet college of Pakistan was built in West Pakistan near Hasan
Abdal town of Attock district, in Punjab province in the year 1954. Faujdarhat
Cadet College in Chittagong District was founded in 1958. Faujdarhat was the
second cadet college in Pakistan and one of the biggest in East Pakistan and
still the biggest in Bangladesh at 185 acres. This isone of the Pioneer Cadet Colleges in Bangladesh.
Until the
separation of East-Pakistan, and the creation of Bangladesh there were 4 cadet
colleges there. All of them were mostly inaugurated by Field Marshall Ayub Khan.
Today these cadet colleges still follow the system of Pakistan Army’s selection
and requirements. ISSB (Inter Services Selection Board) Bangladesh selects
cadets after rigorous and difficult selection methods.
Here is the
